Lars Knudsen was born in Queensland 1931. He began painting professionally in Europe. He had successful shows in London, Holland, Germany, Spain and Switzerland. On his return to Australia in 1985 he achieved national acclaim with his Limited Edition Australian Bird Prints series. These prints were in association with Tooronga Zoo, Perth Zoo and the Queensland National Parks & Wildlife Service.

This large and colourful print depicts a pair of Western Tragopan against an abstract background, painted and speckled with the artist’s fingerprints. Signed, titled, and numbers 10/500 in pencil. Framed and glazed.
