WMF Jugendstill Brass Kettle
This beautiful WMF Art Nouveau Secessionist Jugendstil brass kettle has a rattan-cased handle and sits perfectly on it's original warming stand. One of the prettiest examples we've seen, this kettle features a lovely geometric design with a band of triangle motifs in the centre of the kettle, with the tripod support stand featuring a beautiful pierced fish-scale design, and the burner with similar banding. This is a truly exceptional example of its genre in wonderful condition.
The base of the kettle is stamped by WMF marked by the ostrich and two inscriptions "WMF" and "G" (Geislingen an der Steige) in a rhombus, placed in hatched arch. This mark was used from 1909 until around 1914 items exported to France.
The brand WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) was founded in 1853 in Geislingen an der Steige, Germany.
