Coalport "Money Tree" Plate
A really lovely Coalport plate decorated in the “Money Tree” or “Rock and Tree” Japan Pattern, with under glaze blue decoration on the base, with a beautifully executed staple repair as pictured. This plate is circa 1805, according to Michael Messenger who illustrates and dates the pattern in his book "Coalport" (on page 103). This is a much sought-after pattern, with a dessert service in the Royal Collection housed at Buckingham Palace.
